ABOUT ME

I am Asst. Prof. within the Department of Software Engineering Deprt. at Technical College, Kirkuk, IRAQ. My researches are concerned with developing new methods for image compression appropriate for robust structured light 3D reconstruction and texture mapping. The work is focused on 2D image and video image compression, comparative analysis with existing methods and 3D image analysis.

I have published many research articles on 3D digital image compression in International conferences and 3D Research Journal-Springer and I have programs published in Matlab Central website:

I have been awarded a BSc degree in Computer Science in 1997 from AL-Nahrain University, College of Science, and an MSc in Computer Science in 2000 from the University of Technology within the Computer Science Department. The topic of my MSc dissertation was Digital Image Restoration using a Single-layer perceptron neural network. In 2017 i have been awarded PhD degree from Sheffield Hallam University, UK. My PhD research on image compression methods within the GMPR-Geometric Modelling and Pattern Recognition Research Group.
